SOPEF Polemics
As the name implies, these Polemics are intended to be controversial. If any of these humble essays fails to shock, enrage, or at least disagree with a significant plurality of readers, then we have failed in our mission. If you find it disagreeable, osculate with my fundament.
Renunciation of Support for George W. Bush
by Jonathan Quince
July 7, 2005
He has embraced our enemies and comforted murderers, then sold away our closest natural friends and allies in the global struggle against terrorism.
On Erotica & “Artistic Porn”
by Jonathan Quince
March 29, 2005
It might surprise some readers that of all genres in mainstream porn, I favor “gonzo” material: Straight-out fucking, no pitiful attempts at plot, no apologies for being what it is. There is plenty to criticize about methods and production values; but most importantly, hardcore gonzo porn is honest. It is about sex — pure and unadulterated sex — and it makes no bones about it.
Porn Peeves
by Jonathan Quince
March 29, 2005
No, this isn’t Yet Another List of Rants against the clichéd formulae of mainstream porn. Rather, this is primarily a bevy of peeves against the mainstream porn industry in the U.S. as it stands today.

I have nothing against roses or chocolates, per se. But neither will satisfy me up here or down there, if you get my meaning.
Vagina Dentata: Myths, Lies, & Stinking Pussy
by Jonathan Quince
September 21, 2004
As I am a devout lover of the human form in general and the female essence in particular, it grates a bit on my nerves. I must uphold our mandate and face toe-to-toe one of the pervasive lies of outer society: The myth of the stinking pussy.
Against Jealousy
by Rachel K. []

It’s About Consent
by Jonathan Quince
November 13, 2003
In the pornography industry, model releases are not a joking matter. Producing a sex video without the proper documentation of consent for release isn’t just considered grossly unprofessional; it can get you skewered. So why is releasing a tape of a professional loophole hooker doing her job considered wrong if you don’t have your papers in order, whereas it’s a-OK to pass around around a stolen private tape with lip-smacking glee?
Feminine Fantasies
by Rachel K. []
October 31, 2003
I have a fantasy about being handcuffed, tied at the ankles and knees, and beaten bloody with a wire hangar while being fucked up the ass. I do not want this to happen in reality. keep your rape fantasies in the “God forbid this ever enters reality” box and still live up the more benign ones.
Political Parties
by Jonathan Quince
August 29, 2003
The former will make you suffer mightily, and it will kill you if left untreated. The latter will kill you until you are very dead. There is no known cure for the latter, although advanced treatments (known as a "split ticket") can slow its progression somewhat.
Against Condoms
by Jonathan Quince
June 8, 2003
I have yet to hear anybody voice this heretical opinion, even on the Internet: I loathe, abhor, revile, execrate, and detest condoms.
