As many of you may have noticed, Sopef is on a brief hiatus; and I, your loving resident autocrat, have been largely offline to the world. There is a multitude of reasons for this; let it not be thought that I would abscond so easily to an idle vacation from the very nexus of my pleasures.
When and if we return in full force, I expect to refocus and change our direction. In particular, I look to make a more thorough exploration of beauty, both objectifying beauty and exploiting sex as one channel for the beautiful. Sopef was founded, after all, as a forum of beauty as reflected and gathered in the female form; and this view may easily be generalized.
A religious addiction to beauty may take shape in praxes of arts and of sciences and of sensual pleasures. Worship and study and measured indulgence offer divers means to achieving the same lofty goals. Therefore, our palette may be broadened to include more variations of life’s colors as we see fit to express them. Additionally, our characteristic subtlety may enter into a friendly clash at times with a new vigor for raw passion.
In the mean time—however long or short it may be—I may post occasionally when I feel the urge. As to you, my dear readership, I admonish you to take time for emphasis on the full spectrum of life’s offerings. Think it, do it, and appreciate it.
